Sutton Hoo sword

Sutton Hoo Sword.

 

This is a recreation of the Saxon sword found at Sutton hoo in the 1940’s. I have used Cloisonne techniques in the pommel and scabbard with enamel work and fine wire inlays.

fittings are gold plated and silver. polished horn guard and pommel slabs with a polished horn grip ring between fillets of silver.

The Blade is a triple core alternate twist Pattern Weld withs some 450 outer layers on the edges.

Scabbard is felt lined poplar with hand stitched calfskin outer.
