based on thew ‘Dave’ pommel find from the Staffordshire Hoarde,this Sword would have been typical of a fine Saxon blade.

lenticular cross section
Bog Oak grip and spacers
Bronze and silver pommel and guard,rivetted
Hidden tang rivet.
